
Borden is an extensive parish, the village being situated about one-and-a-half miles in a westerly direction from Sittingbourne. The industries carried on in the parish are agricultural, the crops being principally fruit, hops, and corn. The soil is mould and peat, with chalk and gravel subsoil.
Nature Reserve Clean up morning
A clean-up morning has been arranged for 24th March 10am. If you are available to help please meet at the sports pavillion at the lower end of The Playstool at 10am to collect equipment.
Nature Reserve Planning meeting
KCC Planning have arranged for a public meeting to be held at Borden Village hall on 4th April at 3pm prior to their site meeting. Highways and other consultees will also be present.
New Meeting date
The monthly Parish Council meetings have now been changed to the third Thursday of each month.
The Parish Council would like to hear from youngsters with any ideas of what they would like to see in the village for them to do.
